In this report, we investigate developer satisfaction in their current job. We examine in what contexts developers feel satisfied and what are some of the work-related factors that are associated with greater workplace contentment.

Key insights;

• 59% of professional developers are satisfied with their current role.
• 26% of professional developers intend to change their jobs in the next 12 months. 
• AR and VR developers are the most likely to be satisfied in their current role.
• Satisfied developers are significantly less likely to consider quitting their current job. 
• As developers age, and inadvertently advance in their careers, they are much more stable; meaning they are significantly less likely to consider switching jobs in the coming 12 months.
